Boy, I felt a dark cloud over my head today, and it sure sat there tonight.

VeryJosie went pretty bad from the get go. Never made a hand and couldn't bet my way around it, so I bled off half my stack in half an hour. Then, I got bounced in a spot where you run into a cash player dabbling in MTTs, they decide to take a stand, and basically say "f it" as they call off knowing they're getting the worst of it..

Would I normally squeeze 25BB with ATs when UTG and UTG+1 limps and the cutoff iso-raises?
Not really, because I'm running into a buzzsaw often enough where it's just not a good move.

But this spot, yeah, I'll be honest, I couldn't wait to stick it in b/c I was really sure I had the best of it.
Just a gut feeling. Oh well.

Which is true. Not actually likely jamming into two EP limpers and a threebet, but possible. I've been known to do worse... :-)

For once, this tourney was an opening act instead of a co-headliner because of all the Survivor intrigue and sidebets.

Did OK early in the Moo(yournamehere)kee too, then I flatted AA on the button v. Jamyhawk's 4x EP raise to drag the blinds in. Of course he hit the nizzles on a J23 two spade flop and I ended up doubling him up with half my stack. Which to be honest, wasn't smart, especially after the Q turn. I'm like ahead of KK and nothing else.

And yeah, he's my teammate, but I'm not softplaying anyone for shit here. Besides, it really doesn't matter moving forward.

After that it went downhill as fuck. Eventually, I ended up letting Hoy spew with 44 in the BB and getting into a 15BB flip I lost.

I actually thought about raise/jamming pre, but I figured Hoy would do what he does in a limped pot and I'd be able to play HU, without VeryJosie getting involved, against a holding I'd actually have a decent shot against to double up. Of course, I'd do this with a big hand, small hand - a lot of holdings, so whatever, we're playing chicken, shoveling in chips and trying to get there/hold.

26/33. And yeah, Hoy got the $20 bounty VJ put on my head. As if he needs a 20 spot. Does Hoy even play anything outside of blogger tourneys you can buy into for $20?

Anyhow the whole evening was a complete disaster. I ended up donking around in 100NL Rush for a while - and when I shoved AA into KK preflop and watched a Q-high straight hit the board... yeah, it was time to shut it down..

I shipped the $40 last longer superbounty to Jordan... which should make up for the fact that he's no longer a part of the game. Yes, apparently HighOnPoker is no more - which I'm a little surprised about. I really need to pay attention more to WTF is going on.

On to the big clusterfuck that's one big bulldog team of people trying to hold on for 10 more tournaments... wheeeeeeeee
