well, I'm getting there...

too bad I don't have two more months to work it out...

8/68 in the PftR tourney Monday, so first final table and third cash for BBT5, not horribad.

Of course I had to gambool/get it in bad a couple of times to make it so.

jam OESD/overs/flush draw withT9s on 87x flop into VinNay's AKo and get there.
then TT>JJ for 70BB preflop when I get frustrated with a minraising muppet I've seen a few times with an interesting playing history (if I didn't know better I'd swear he was someone's second account, remember emptyman/125will from BBT4?).
He pwned me hard, but Ten on the flop, I get to the first break with T9000 in 3/54, so not too bad.

I gradually build up and play smart/solid for a couple of hours - finally suck out vs twoblackaces when he raises the button and I defend the BB with A9o, and when the flop comes A9x I get him to jam into me with on the turn with AQ... and I get to the final two tables with a 20K stack, 3/18.

And again, the bottom falls out, only not as spewy this time,

-Raise 66, get jammed on for 9bb from CK, call off vs. 77 and don't get there. Freaking never playing 66 with shallow stacks ever again.
-Raise 77, get re-raised by table AGRRODONK from the blinds, call and fold an AQx flop,
-and suddenly, I'm down to 10K and treading water.

I actually try to play smart short-stack ninja poker, and it works long enough to get me to the final table with 20BB. But nothing good happens there either, and eventually I have to call a 7BB jam with A4s and whiff, followed by getting it in on the flop with J4 vs. Ks8s on a 7s4s2x flop and not fading the entire world of draws. Dunzo 8th.

I think I got what I could out of the run, Yeah, I gambool early but I think that's necesssary in these BBT tourneys where most players will call very light, or very tight. Waiting for a lock spot is death.

I'm adjusting slowly but surely. I just don't have a lot of time to bear fruit.
