and it's never driven me nuts like Stud high - so it was good to see two full tables for Skillz Tuesday... I played like an old man nit, value bet everything and made my draws whether I needed to or not... right up until the final table.
Hands are good until the river...

Dealt to lightning36 [9d 2c] [9s]
heffmike bets 1,600
lightning36 calls 1,600 (kind of thin call when he pairs up - but he only has two big bets left, so they're going in no matter what in this spot - however, I have to be there already with a T and probably have a good redraw to an 8, so he has to go runner-runner to get better than a 9 more often than not. I'm good with gambooling in this spot.)

Yeah, that cost me big time. One small booboo on third and there goes my stack.
This one is just a big stack splashing around and getting there.
If I have a decent stack behind I doubt I get called on fourth to begin with.

Anyway, sucks to get boned like that twice, but it's Razz, that'll happen. 5th of 16 isn't awful.
Playing Razz just relaxes me in a manner unlike any other poker game - so much easier to "get there" by not actually making your hand... I always figure I'm bricking anyway, so anytime I draw well it's a little nugget of joy.
Anyhow, to update on the Hand History project - FTP finally got back in touch with me today and started shipping everything - still missing some dates, but it looks like I'm getting a reasonable amount of data back...
Wednesday is Mookie, but also the AIPS $1 rebuy.... which already has 160 players in it.
The first hour could be epic comedy. I'd be surprised if I'm under 20 rebuys.

Good analysis of the hand. And I think you were right -- not raising on 3rd let me stay in, otherwise I probably fold and choose another spot. After 4th I was ahead and had to run with it with the big blinds at 1,600. I hoped that I'd hit or you would brick.
The second hand was just brutal. aufuuu made a big stack play (22,854 vs 2,378) which I understand, and got very lucky. Ouch.
btw -- Best wishes for a safe delivery and a healthy child. The prenatal days are always exciting. Seeing a live birth is among the more amazing things in life.
