what's a final table...

So I haven't been playing that much lately - pattern has been, play well in SnGs, donk off those profits in MTTs by playing like shit.

So, Sunday night, I decide to settle in and actually play some large field tourneys... I play horrible early (anyone watching me at the MSOP HEROS event must have thought I lost my mind) - get coolered (shove an eight-high turned flush.. and get snap called by a nine-high flush) before I mini-cash in the Fifty-Fifty (and ran into cmitch, who's in way deep as I type)

and actually make a non-blogger MTT Final Table..


In for the max $31... and while I should be happy with a $1200 profit, I'm really annoyed I didn't take it down, especially when I enter the final table like this

Freaking huge chip lead, and I dust a third of it off two hands in - QdJx can't get there against 9d6d on a KT7 diamond flop - and then I never really gain momentum back after that. But I really really really thought I was taking it down, and I don't like to get deep and not win.

Gotta love the 1r1a structures on Stars, though... a long, seven hour tourney, but avg. stack at the final table was over 50BB when we started - a lot of play was left late in the tourney, and that's always a nice thing...

I'll review later this week and see if there's anything of note from the tourney, other than I ran good and made some supergenius reads that actually worked for once....

But yay for night in the black...
