I can never get any run goot going in these Skillz games...I keep getting chips in good and not holding... or at least try to bet for value and, uh, maybe I'm not after all.
Anyhow, some stud hands for discussion, because I think they're interesting and somewhat close.

*** SHOW DOWN ***
heffmike shows [Qh Qd 2d 4s 2h 7d Td] two pair, Queens and Twos
LookyMyHooky shows [Qs Qc Jh 8c 8d Tc Th] two pair, Queens and Tens
LookyMyHooky wins the pot (1,630) with two pair, Queens and Tens
Third is your standard limp/reraise for value in a multiway pot with a buried big pair. Sexymelissa kept raising and pushing every pot and would have been Gigli if Waffles didn't beat her to it, so I'm ahead of her 100% of the time.
I get donked into on fourth and raise again for value, so still standard. By now I've narrowly defined my hand as some buried big pair or I'm rolled up. I normally hate doing this, but melissa's chips were on sale, I had to get some....
Fifth is interesting. If Hooky started with (QQ)x, he just made Queens up... but I pair up and donk into him anyway after he checks. I understand flatting to get an overcall - melissa is probably drawing thin, albeit live, and is the ATM in the hand... but if I'm in front, he has to call three more streets to spike his own thin draw and find out, and you probably don't get melissa to come along every street.
If he's in front, he lets the both of us try to draw out fairly cheaply and doesn't get full value for his two pair. I didn't put him on a hand that was ahead of mine, obviously, so I may have paid him off quite a bit if he turns up the heat.
If all he has is\ (QT)J88, with a dead 9 and two dead kings, it's a horrible calldown, but after watching him play fairly well the rest of the night there's no way he'd be that fishy in that spot..
I guess check/calling down works with Queens and Tens... but it just seems like you valuetown yourself more often than not, because a decent villain's range for betting fifth/sixth/seventh into you is going to crush that holding - Queens and Deuces is really the bottom end of a reasonable range. You may get a free look at seventh if it goes check/check... but it's highly doubtful. I thought I was value betting every street, silly me...
Just seems like an interesting line. Thoughts welcome.
Anyhow, I manage to keep spiking Queens on every fifth street in razz and have to give up pots.. get up to 4800, then vs. a short stack in stud, raise/cap third vs. (95)9 with (TT)7, raise fourth to put him in.. and watch him spike jacks on fourth and sixth for two pair.
Then, a couple of stud/8 hands that just suck and basically knock me out...
Stud/8 at 250/500/40.

I donk because I'm stubborn and don't want to check call. Hooky has an easy value raise, I call.

Now it really gets icky. He bets, I call, because he can have a naked low or pair and low draw at this point. Sixth may be helpful.

Or not. Ugh. He catches great, I completely brick.
Either the low got there, or a low two pair just hit, or he hit a gutter wheel.
It's obvious I'm not there yet or have one pair at best.
He bets into me, Pot is 2800 chips, I have 2500 left. I'm going to have to put 1000 more in to see the river (he is NEVER checking seventh) and I just can't envision a range where I'm not getting boned both ways and chasing to hopefully chop at best. So I fold, which is probably bad.
Next hand. Same structure.

I check, because I thought one of these guys was going to bet a nice low draw for value and I can checkraise or flat and wake up on fifth - If I bet they will both will just call.... but I forget that every low card was already dead on third and they both check behind for the freebie. Stupid me.

7th, I crying call and get to see..
Bessin shows [Ac 6s 5d 7c Ah As 5s] a full house, Aces full of Fives, for high
Boy, I run good in Skillz rotation games. Done in the high 30s.
Points list is tightening up, lots of solid players are starting to rack up some good runs. The next two weeks should be interesting.

I think I started 346 with a coupla clubs on that hand. Woulda bet the 3 on 4th had you not paired and Bessin not caught well (and took one of my 5's). Once you bet 5th, I have no high and thought I was drawing a 76 to made 75.
