I can't do much, but I can play a split pot game....



I played OK - I pushed some thin edges, and (naturally) spiked a couple of luckbox hands - but I really, for once, felt comfortable and in charge at a final table. Mickey Jay played well too - we started heads up about even, I went up 3-1, then he did, and finally I rallied back and nailed it down. Woot! to the Ante Up! Nation.

baby steps

OK, managed to finish 5th in the Mookie by being a short-stack ninja, open shoving for the last hour and a half, all while managing to run into AK in the blinds every time I jam six-handed...  I guess the only way I can make it deep in these tourneys is by being a nit (13% of flops seen, half what I usually do, and winning 30 hands without a flop) and shoving for value.... boring, but it seems to work.

Also made it to Stars' WCOOP Horse tournament through a Turbo satellite using just player points, so freeroll for me! - I barely cashed in it last year.... prolly will take longer than 8 hours to do that this year ... :-(
